Ebony's litter of poodle puppies

Ebony, the Dam:

Ebony is a non-fading black poodle. She was injured as a puppy (not on my watch) and has a deformed front leg (her right leg in the picture), but seems to get around just fine. Ebony and Cocobean became very attached to each other - poodles do form strong relationships. She is a very protective mother. Her main claim to fame is that she produces non-fading puppies in rich tones of black and brown.

Fitz, the Sire:

Fritz is a small (toy) chocolate parti poodle with lots of spunk. His parti markings have faded to almost tan. He is full of personality and takes his job of sire very seriously. He produces small puppies.

Lombard: <- click picture		Lombard is one of three parti poodles in this litter. She has black on her head, and a ring on her tail. There are a couple of small spots. She will grow to be a large toy or a small miniature . Pictures are at 4 weeks, just getting some personality. CKC registered.

Ebony's Poodle Puppies sired by Fitz

Ebony had six puppies May 20, 2010. All were girls except for Gable, the one boy. Three are black and white parti poodles, and three are solid black poodles. Ebony tends to produce non-fading colors. The puppies will be ready about July 01, 2010. The pictures are at about four weeks. Six puppies is quite a handful for Ebony who is lame in one leg, but she does very well. Ebony is a very protective mother. She tends to nurse the pups in shifts (see the picture below). I try to get the puppies on solid food as soon as possible to take the strain of Ebony. To get a young puppy to eat solid food, you have to put their nose into the food and wait. Once one start eating, the others will usually follow.

All puppies come with CKC puppy registration papers and health guarantee. They have had their tails docked. They are current on their de-worming (Panacure every two weeks) and will get their first vaccination when they are 6 weeks old.
