The Parents:

Ebony, the Dam:

Ebony is a non-fading black poodle.   She was injured as a puppy (not on my watch) and has a deformed front leg (her right leg in the picture), but seems to get around just fine.  Ebony and Cocobean became very attached to each other - poodles do form strong relationships.     She is a very protective mother.  Her main claim to fame is that she produces non-fading puppies in rich tones of black and brown.

Cocobean, the Sire:

The sire is Cocobean (we call him Coco).  He is a small miniature with a lot of spunk.  We have always thought of him as a light chocolate dog, but he has a dark patch of color on his back.  I now realize that Coco is actually a chocolate brindle.   He takes his role of sire very seriously.  For a kennel dog, he is very friendly.  One of our more intelligent dogs.  He clearly has more than just brown genes as he produced a cream and a sable in his litter with Deidre.  He produces good chocolate puppies.
  Guinevere:

Ebony's Poodle Puppies sired by Cocobean

Ebony had four puppies September 29, 2009.  Three are girls and one is a boy.  Three are chocolate (including the boy), and one is black.   Ebony has non-fading pups in brown and black.   She was again mated to Cocobean so the last litter is representative of her puppies.  All the puppies are a rich dark color and probably will not fade.  They are very hard to photograph because if you get the color right, the eyes are not visible.  I lightened the color in most of the pictures as a compromise between color and detail.  They are just under three weeks old in the pictures.  Ebony tends to produce small puppies, so these may all stay toys.  Puppies will be ready about November 10, 2009.
All  puppies come with CKC puppy registration papers and health guarantee.  They have had their tails docked and dewclaws removed.    They are current on their de-worming (Panacure every two weeks) and will get their first vaccination when they are 6 weeks old.
You can hold a puppy for $150.00.  If you are interested, please give us a call at 706-538-1003 (not a toll in Atlanta Area, do not dial 1),  (678) 836-6315 (cell phone, or email us at pups@WF-Poodle.com
