    Deidre's Litter of Interesting Poodles
Ready February 23, 2009

Deidre's Litter with the Girls on the left and Boy on the right.

Puppies:  Deidre had four puppies January 12, 2009.   She was again bred to Red Head Willie (red male), and her last litter with Willie  is shown >here<.  She produced a beautiful, black faced sable puppy named Jar Jar and two apricot puppies.  In the current litter, there are two "Jar Jars" (one male, sundance, and one female, Sadie) and two black puppies (one male, Jethro and one female, Annie).   Deidre produces puppies with short legs, and therefore they are small (toys).

All  puppies come with CKC puppy registration papers and health guarantee.  They have had their tails docked and dewclaws removed.    They are current on their de-worming (Panacure every two weeks) and will get their first vaccination when they are 6 weeks old.

You can hold a puppy for $150.00.  If you are interested, please give us a call at 706-538-1003 (not a toll in Atlanta Area, do not dial 1),  (678) 836-6315 (cell phone, or email us at pups@WF-Poodle.com)

The puppies at 10 days, girls on the left.

This is Jethro (sold).   He is the smallest puppy in the litter, solid black with no markings.  I suspect a large toy at maturity .

This is Sadie (sold).  She is a beautiful dark red sable with a black face.  The sable color means that the individual hairs are different colors (mixture or reds and black).  The black tips to her hair may fade with age, but not the red color.  She will have fairly short legs like her mother and will probably weigh about 7-8 lbs grown (a toy/small miniature).

This is Sundance (sold).  He is a beautiful dark red sable with a black face.  The sable color means that the individual hairs are different colors (mixture or reds and black).  The black tips to his hair may fade with age, but not the red color.  He will have fairly short legs like his mother and will probably weigh about 7-8 lbs grown (a toy/small miniature).

This is Annie.  She is a small puppy, but a little larger than Jethro, solid black with no markings.  I suspect a large toy at maturity

This is Jar Jar (already sold) from Deidre's last litter.  He is a red sable with a black mask.  He is here to show what an older, red sable puppy looks like.  There are two red sables in this litter.

Dam:  Deidre  a  CKC registered Miniature Poodle.  I say miniature, she has short legs and might slip in as a toy, but has the size and weight of a miniature poodle.   She was born a Sable Poodle  with black tips to her hairs, but has faded with age to a cream.  You can still see traces of the sable coloring in her ears, probably because she carries the mask gene.  Her pedigree lists several silver poodles, but I imagine some of those must be sables.  Deidre is very friendly and affectionate.   We have found that some of our customers prefer the short legs, and she has the shortest legs of all our poodles.  Deidre is shown below guarding her puppies (first litter).  They are not quite old enough to leave the security of their home and it's heating pad.  The picture on the right shows what remains of her sable coloration in her ears and face.

Sire:  Mr. Red Headed Willie  CKC registered red poodle, He is about 7 lbs (about 11" tall).  His name is a misnomer as he has white on top of his head, not red.  His color is best described as rust red, a color he passes to most of his puppies  Willie has very long legs and is very energetic spending his day roaming his large pen.  He also came from a kennel and remains a bit shy.  I sit with him every day, and he is very upset if I miss a day.  Dogs are not supposed to make long term relationships, but Willie cries for his Butter Cup, these two were totally attached.   Butter Cup is gone, but we have found Willie a new girlfriend in Deidre but it is just not the same.   He is a well proportioned toy poodle with a rich rust red coat and dark ears.  His coat would cord if let grow long.  He passed his color on to his children.  We have one of his pup, Riley, who is a rich Irish Setter red - our hope for the future.  Note that Willie has held his color with age even in the sun.
