Ebony's  Big Litter -   All Sold

Ebony  had 6 puppies February 09, 2008.  They were all boys except for one brown puppy.  There were three chocolate puppies, two black, and one most unusual dog.  He is black with brown highlights, possibly a sable or brindle.

The puppies:  The six puppies, seen above, are a mixture of black, chocolate and a mixture (Truman).   The puppies are only 4 weeks old in this picture.  These puppies will be large toys, or small miniatures.

It might be noted that dark brown and black puppies are very difficult to photograph as they can appear as dark blobs.  In order to make the eyes and other features visible, I lightened the colors somewhat from the natural color.   The chocolates are darker and the blacks do not have all the highlights seen in the picture.

All  puppies come with CKC puppy registration papers and health guarantee.  They have had their tails docked and dewclaws removed.    They are current on their deworming (Panacure every two weeks) and will get their first vaccination when they are 6 weeks old.

These will be Ready about March 22, 2008.   You can hold a puppy for $150.00.  If you are interested, please give us a call at 706-538-1003 (not a toll in Atlanta Area, do not dial 1),  (678) 836-6315 (cell phone, or email us at pups@WF-Poodle.com

Lady Bird (sold).   She is the only girl in the litter.  Her coat is a rich, dark chocolate.  Picture at four weeks.  She will probably be a small miniature.

This is Roosevelt (sold).  He is a rich black poodle.  He has the non-fading gene from his mother.   He will probably be a small miniature, around 8-9 lbs.  He is an active little fellow that loves to chew on fingers.

This is Johnson (sold).  He is a dark chocolate with a thick, wavy coat.   The pictures do not do him justice because I had to lighten them to make his features visible.  He is dark.  This guy has stayed small, and probably will stay a toy.  He could make it as a  small miniature (6-7 lbs).  He spent his picture time exploring the bedroom and climbing all over me. Pictures at seven weeks.

This is Kennedy.  He is a dark chocolate poodle.  He has a cute face with almost sad eyes.  Pictures at seven weeks.  He will probably be a small miniature (8-9 lbs).  He was hard to photograph as he did not want to stand still.  Kennedy has matured into special puppy.  Since he is the last of the group born in February, he has been pre spoiled.  He loves to play in our courtyard, running up and down the stairs.  He is fearless, and plays with dogs four times his size.  Someone better take him home before Betty gets too attached.

This is Truman (sold).  He is a most unusual color.  The base color is black, but he has brown highlights throughout his coat.  He probably is a sable or brindle, but it is too soon to tell.  He is a rich dark black color, but I lightened the pictures to make the sable color visible.  The sable color will probably fade some and the contrast become more visible as he grows older.   Pictures at seven weeks.  He could be a large toy or a small miniature (7-8 lbs).  This little guy was fascinated with the camera's flash.  He would turn his head and wait for the next one - a photographer's dream puppy.  He never strayed far, hoping to get some more attention.  He would probably make a good lap dog.

This is Ike (sold) He is a black poodle with a thick coat.  Pictures at seven weeks..  He has a large white flash on his chest.  He will probably be a small miniature (8-9 lbs).  The little dog is about play.  He was either pulling on the background sheet, or the cord to the blinds.  If that were not enough, he would climb up on me and play with my beard.

The Parents:

                     Cocobean the Sire

Ebony, the dam, is a non-fading black poodle.  I apologize for not having a picture of Ebony, but we have not had her very long.  She was recently obtained from Diane Easterwood.  She was injured as a puppy (not on my watch) and has a deformed front leg, but seems to get around just fine.  Ebony and Cocobean became very attached to each other - poodles do form strong relationships.  He was so happy when she returned to the kennel.  She is a very protective mother

The sire is Cocobean (we call him Coco).  He is a small miniature with a lot of spunk.  He takes his role of sire very seriously.  For a kennel dog, he is very friendly.  One of our more intelligent dogs.  He clearly has more than just brown genes as he produced a cream and a sable in his litter with Deidre.  Truman in this litter must also be a sable or brindle.  The sable gene just keeps appearing in our dogs.
